Patrick Little

Patrick Little served on the OPDC Executive Board for many years prior to becoming Business Manager of the OPDC in 2003. Patrick was the Business Manager of Local 607 (Thunder Bay) for twenty five years. In addition, he has served as a vice president of the Ontario Federation of Labour and the first director of the LIUNA Canadian Tri-Funds. Patrick is a veteran of ICI and pipeline negotiations, having participated in bargaining since the mid-1970s. Patrick is a trustee of the Labourers’ Pension Fund for Central and Eastern Canada, the Central and Eastern Canada Organizing Fund and the Labourers’ Multi-Local Welfare Trust Fund. He is also a director for the Construction Safety Association and the Ontario Construction Secretariat. Patrick is well known for his effective advocacy on behalf of the Labourers’ Union.

Harold Bartlett

Harold Bartlett is employed by the OPDC as a business representative. Harold joined the OPDC in 1999. He is responsible for the administration of the OPDC’s demolition, civil engineering and electrical power systems (EPS) agreements. He is particularly knowledgeable about EPS sector, having participated in the negotiation and administration of the various accords that govern the distribution of work on hydro job sites. Harold has also been a leader in anticipating and adapting to change within the EPS sector, helping the OPDC to implement a multi-skilled model for the construction of private generation facilities.

Paul Hickey

Paul Hickey brings twenty years of construction experience to his job as a business representative. Paul started working for the OPDC in 2004. Paul assists local unions with a variety of matters including negotiations, organizing, grievances and jurisdiction. In addition, he oversees the printing of all OPDC collective agreements and is responsible for the administration of our railroad, concrete cutting and sewer inspection agreements. Paul has been instrumental in archiving the OPDC’s records and making the valuable information that they contain accessible to affiliates.

Monica Gunawan

Monica Gunawan recently joined the OPDC as a member of the support staff. Monica has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University in Los Angeles. In 2002, Monica immigrated to Canada from Indonesia. Monica is secretary to Carolyn Hart and Paul Hickey. In addition, she performs reception duties.

Beata Amborska

Beata Amborska is the most recent addition to the OPDC support staff. Beata has a Masters Degree in finance, marketing and management from the University of Krakow. Beata immigrated to Canada from Poland in 2001. Beata is the bookkeeper and secretary to Patrick Little and Harold Bartlett.
